Great Race..Great food and prices from Sandwichville as well!! Only thing I could see improving is available water. It always seems to run out about Noon, and I was approached by numerous racers wanting some of my bottled water. Yes, riders should have there own source of water, but hydration is too important and safety is key at any type of physical racing event. Great Job though, CCC continues to grow, improve, and impress.
Great track! Loved all the turns and how treacherous Heckle Hill got near the end of the 4B race when the spectators decided to turn it into a mudhole.
Also, Superman apparently no longer defends justice, but the middle of the racecourse.
That would be Super Girl…
What a great day of racing. A big thank you to whoever was responsible for doubling the prize list, you’re awesome. And to whoever is responsible for the music selection please remember that there are lots of kids and others at the races who don’t want or need to hear f-bombs and motherfu…….er’s. Thanks.
Agreed, while no prude ( I think the F-Bomb frequently while riding) I love being able to bring my young children to X races.
We try to keep the playlist energetic. Sorry for any language. If you have a specific song you’d like us to remove (or add) please let us know.
However, if a little language is the worst thing a youngster hears or sees at a CX race, you’re doing a great job of keeping them away from the 4B race (or the finish of the Cat 3′s)!
The song I told someone to change was Snoop Dogg I think. It was in that gangsta rap genre for sure. Get rid of all that garbage and keep the metal
I love working the event with some good metal in the background!
Removed!
Now if only I could get that super close parking, it would be perfect :p
Love hearing live blues at the end of the ride.
Man I got to get faster over the barriers, all six of them! The last one seems like it was 48″ tall.
Hey there-
Here’s a few pictures from Heckle Hill during the last race. Kinda washed out due to the setting sun, but still pretty fun.

Thanks for the shots of the beer chugging. I really need it!
Had a great time today, thanks for everything! Pics, 4B and a few 4A: https://picasaweb.google.com/100385803873848623191/SunriseParkCX
Hi Karen, I wanted to check with you about getting permission to use a photo of Joe Berenyi from the 4B race at Sunrise Park. Looking for permission to use it on the PSIMET website and on promotional materials. If you don’t mind emailing me, rphandley at gmail I’d appreciate it.
Here are some mostly bad photos of M30+,W123 50+, M3, & W4 Juniors

Nice day today. This was my FIRST EVER event and it was a blast. My goal was just to finish and not give up. Although my placing was low (90 in 4b), the fun meter was off the chart. Thanks to the guy for the $5 handup on Heckle Hill and to whoever yelled out “Don’t let him get by you, he’s got mutton chops!” I was the one with the chops.

Tim,
Can I get two specific pictures from you? I cannot just download them from flickr, so shoot me an email at ccarmichael07@gmail.com and I’ll tell you which ones. Thanks mate.
My first time shooting cyclocross- I’ve started uploading photos here: http://bit.ly/pkJu9J
And a fine job you did.
imandrewg: very nice photos! Thanks especially for the W4 start pic – the blurry backdrop + racers in sharp focus required excellent timing on your part. If I post to fb, can I credit the photo to “Andrew Gill” ?
Yeah, that’d be fine. My website is iamandrewgill.com if you want to link…
website is linked, and the photo credited with your name. cheers
Left my legs at home, but not my camera. Will post what pics I have of Womens 4s, Juniors, and 123s later tonight.
Great course, great weather, the best variation of this course yet.
Great race! It’s about time the hecklers came out in full force.
)
I have 1,800 photos from the 40+, 30+, W123, 50/60+, M123, 4a and 4b to get through…but in the meantime there’s a small preview posted on our Facebook page, including some great heckle action:
https://www.facebook.com/tippingpointphotography
Once the photos are up (probably later this week), they will be here:
http://tippingpointphoto.portraitstorefront.com/
Also, the Carpentersville shots (everything but the 4s….still working on those) will be at this same site later tonight–waiting on the lab to “throw a switch”.
Are there any updates on the Bartlett pics?
Still working on ‘em! Sorry for the delay–we have been absolutely slammed with client work and day job stuff.
Any updates?
I just (finally) got the last of the Carpentersville pics done and they’re uploading…slowly…now. Working on Bartlett 40+ at this very moment!
) Working as quickly as I can–appreciate your patience.

Two part video of the 4 A race
awesome video Spyder – right up to the crash and expletive at the end . . .
Sorry about the explatives…guess crashing is part of racing.
hey if anyone got the W123 and the M3 podiums, i’d love to borrow them for our blog. it was a pretty awesome day for ROBOTS <3 yesterday!

Enzo reports on more than just 50+ racing. Another great CCC event, course and group of racers.

Thanks for the encouraging words during my race! Always appreciate the shout out. Nice write up.
Hard racing battles seem so much fun to me, watching or racing I seem to love it. Thanks for the free entertainment, and nice W.
West Town Bikes had a blast. 7 racers and 12 in attendance. Thanks to all that helped.

Just wondering if you guys could use a pair of (used) carnac mountain bike shoes (size 45) and a set of pedals to go with them? Rediscovered them searching for parts to repair my seatpost.
We can use any and all donations.
Will you be out at the next race. If not, how can we get “stuff” to you. I am sure there are a lot of other people out there that have some spare unused equipment that would not mind donating to a worthy cause.
It was great to see 50 starters in the 1/2/3 race. Big thanks to Jim Nowak and ABD for a great race, including richer and deeper payouts! On to Campton!
A few pics from the Cat 4 races:

Thanks for taking the shots, I finally have a shot after 5 races.
Is there a lost and found at next week’s race? I left a black Transit saddlebag with a flat repair kit in it near the start line at yesterday’s race.
Lost and found will be at the next race, but we don’t have a saddle bag.
Womens 4s / Juniors and Mens 123s.

First lap of the sandbagger, err, 4B race. Sorry for the jittery forward shots. Excellent organization CCC and a fun course by ABD and Jim Nowak. Thanks all.

Did anyone find a fleece long sleeve pony shop jersey by the start line at Sunrise Park? Just realized I left it, and would be very happy to get it back.
I will be at Campton this weekend,
I left a long sleeve pony shop jersey at the start line last week at Sunrise Park. If anyone found this, I would be extremely happy to get it back.
I will be at Campton Sunday
