Men’s P1,2,3 race footage from Duck
I know it’s a bit late but I just realized I left my Pepper Palace long sleeve jersey and gloves at the start location of last weeks race. If anyone happened to grab it or if they have almost and found please let me know. I’ll be racing this week. Thanks!!
I’m one bull horn and 4 ipas away from being called out as the idiot heckler.
Hahaha, we were all wondering how you came back so fast after that chain snap. Kudos on running 1/3 of a lap with a fatbike. I would not have done it, at least not at this point in the season. You get my ride-of-the-week nomination for that display of determination. Cheers!
Hey everyone. Some pictures here and more will be loaded as I get to them. If you are interested in the photos, let me know. Thanks.

A Sunday full of great races. Thank you to ABD. Photos from the day can be found here: http://www.snowymountainphotography.com/Sports/Cyclocross/2015-Cyclocross/CCC1505ABDCX-at-Sunrise-Park/

Thanks to everyone for coming out to race, spectate, volunteer, or officiate!! Thankfully the weather cooperated!
For those of you who did not pick up their payouts, I will have them at Campton next week. I will be racing the 45+ but plan to be around until the Cat 3 race is complete. Also, there are several 1st lap PRIMEs that did not get picked up also. Come find me at the ABD tent (same as reg tent yesterday). Anything not picked up by Woodstock will be donated to the Bartlett Parks Foundation.
As usual awesome race. Thanks Jim and ABD.
I think I may have left a gray zip hoodie somewhere near the PSIMET or the Crosspitality tent, any chance it ended up in the lost and found?
I think there is one in the lost and found box which will be located at registration
Full first lap of 45+ race and bits of the rest. 18th-25th should be in it.
Sorry above link is no good. This one works
I left a Cuttin Crew long sleeve jersey at the starting gate. Hoping it got scooped into the lost and found. It has my wallet in it.
Thanks for a great race everyone.
I did pick one up, along with one other jacket, various gloves, and what seemed to be enough water bottles to stock an entire bike store, and it was all placed with the CCC trailer so should be available at next week’s race in the lost & found. Now I only wish I checked the pockets for any identification and could have maybe gotten it back to you sooner!
Thanks Brian! I got in contact with Rob Kelley so we’re all good. My wallet is winging its way to me, thanks for everything this weekend. Seriously was the most exciting race I’ve ever taken part in.
And the most exciting one to watch!
First few minutes of the 45+ race. Different perspective.

Thanks ABD for a great race. Loved the course, as always.
I know it gets brought up every week it seems, but the heckling gets super inappropriate sometimes. Using your megaphone to ask someone if their performance makes them ‘want to eat a gun’ is not funny, clever, or witty. It’s being a terrible person.
Agree. It seems like there are more unfunny people with megaphones this year than before. If I hear them, I ask them to “please stop being a dick”. That usually does the trick. They are not generally terrible people, just people who think that they are funnier that what they are when they are behind a megaphone. Subtle peer pressure back at them will hopefully do the trick. I encourage you to try the same.
It is a funny effect, people getting drunk on 20 Watts of audio power…
Agreed. It’s also humorously ironic when they’re still wearing their race number and you look up their results only to find they didn’t do so hot in their own race. I also saw some egregious encroachment onto the course during the 4/5 race for the purposes of heckling – blatantly stretching the course tape inward, cutting the course in half essentially, and even walking onto the course at one point. I know we all like to heckle the 4/5s, and it’s mostly in good fun, but they paid the same entry fee as the rest of us and deserve full use of the same course everyone else had.
Apologies if this becomes a double-post, didn’t look like my first went through.
Agree with the above. It’s a bit ironic that some of these guys are being dicks while still wearing their race number, allowing me to look them up and see they didn’t so hot in their own race. I know we all love to heckle the 4/5 race, but I saw some blatant course encroachment, stretching the tape inward to basically cutting the course in half, and even someone getting on the course and running alongside people on heckle hill. These guys pay the same entry fee as the rest of us and deserve the same course and full use of it – don’t be a dick by potentially interfering with their race.
Yeah, this is getting very tiring. Especially if you are at the back of the pack and just enjoying the opportunity to race. A little goes a long way. Encouragement would be great. I would heckle back but do not want to waste a breath.
Heckling got old around 2010. At this point, I just want to race my bike and go home.
I will not deny that accusation. In fact, I embrace it.
I personally enjoy the heckling, especially when directed towards me. In good or “bad” taste, I don’t care, I think it’s funny. The pain on my face may not show it but I’m usually laughing inside
I also really like the heckling. . . no matter what is said, at least someone is acknowledging my or their existence in this crazy thing we do on Sunday’s instead of mindnumbingly watching football.
Cross is different than all other bicycle racing. I am one who wishes every aspect of it was even more intense, but of course there is always going to be two sides of everything. Soooo yea, since I saw a bunch of anti-heckling comments, thought I’d back you up Zeno to remind people that there are a bunch of pro-hecklers out there as well.
I’m all about heckling. I do it myself every week. But encouraging suicide kind of goes beyond what’s funny
I heckled riders at 8am warming up before racing to “work together.” Not bad for an AOL user….
True. I agree.
Agreed. Heckle away, mates. I rammed into the logs in the 4/5’s, and someone congratulated me on moving up to “84 and a half position.” Turns out, it was 24th. Close enough 😉
I like the heckling when its funny and/or clever, as the CX Gods intended. Most of what I heard this weekend was of the douchy variety. I don’t want it to go away, I just want hecklers to try harder. If you all you can come up with is simple and mean-spirited, maybe try cheering instead. As for moving the course tape, or being on the course while people are racing — that bullshit needs to stop.
Is CCC big enough yet to afford a pro heckler? Somebody’s job to write material all week and deliver their monologue throughout the day? Put this on the list just behind tiger pits and rings of fire please.
