Had a great start in Cat 4 and then suffered a slow leaking pinch flat on the second lap. Was able to ride to the pits only to be given a wheel with probably 15 PSI in it. Practically flat for a 175 lb rider. Don’t get me wrong, I greatly appreciate the Sram neutral pits but just be aware of your tire pressures before leaving the pits.
Single speed on bike rear and front view camera. Accidentally muted audio in editing software. I will upload an audio enhanced version in a few days. https://youtu.be/XkmF-6FIFCA
I collected all the clothing left behind; bagged it, and loaded it into the CCC trailer. There was definitely a black Gore jacket and probably a pair of gloves.
I’ll pull it Friday morning and have it at registration Saturday.
Greatly appreciate the Womens 1/2 race being close to a full 45 minutes (43:44) for the leaders yesterday. I wish this could happen every week. It was an exciting and close race and it makes a huge difference to be racing for the full amount of time when we go to bigger races and have to race for closer to 50 minutes or more. It’s a tough decision for officials to make as people end up getting pulled or lapped which I know sucks, but as long as everyone is safe while passing, which everyone was yesterday, it means that we all get around the same time. I appreciate that it’s a tough job for officials and I’m grateful to all of them who come out every week and facilitate our races regardless of finishing time.
Cold, but not as cold as I worried. Having the Sun out made it all the nicer. And somehow the course felt more accessible for spectating than last year.
Anyone pick up a pair of black bib tights out of the locker room? I assumed the rec center lost -and-found would have them but no luck.

I left a black Gore coat and pair of gloves at the starting grid if anyone found it?

Great times and another stellar course. Super fun hanging out on the top of the hill, cheering on and even some mild heckeling of the 4s and 4/5s.
