There was a young lady taking pictures of the Masters 40+ race, anyone know who she is or where the pics will be posted? There’s always alot of pics of later races, not often someone is shooting the early race.
Tom, that’s probably me! :o) I have 40+ pics from Bartlett and Woodstock, and we’ll be out this weekend, too.
Once they’re online, they’ll be here: http://tippingpointphoto.portraitstorefront.com/
The only little wrinkle is that this is a super busy time of year for our photo business, and I’ve got a day job and cyclocross training on top of it….oh, and that thing called sleep. 😉 I will post here once they’re up. If you’re on Facebook or Twitter, I also recommend “liking” or following us–I always post links there once things are up.
Thanks Liz, I’ll keep checking. Good luck with all you’ve got going on!!! Keep the rubber side down.
Photo Essay of Chicago Cross Cup Race #8 up on Embrocation Cycling Journal! http://www.embrocationmagazine.com/online/chicago-cross-cup-a-photo-essay-from-josh-garlich
I’m the one getting passed.
Here’s a view of how to get passed in a 4 A race, the helmet cam doesn’t lie…
For some reason that second video is private. Nice vid so far though!
Didn’t want to make me getting passed private.
A big thanks to the woman in the pink coat who stood all by herself all day by the hill in the woods. She shook her jug-o’-coins and provided encouragement to everyone. She was out there for hours and a big help leading into that climb.
Second that! I spoke with her when I walked out there during the 4B race. She lives nearby and has been coming for the last few years. She said cross racing has been on her “bucket list” of things to try so I encouraged her to do the Women’s 4 race next year! She was a great help during that wretched hill 😉
Agreed! She was awesome!
No doubt. So random yet so awesome.
Did anyone find a blue Gore jacket at the start line?
Thank you Chicago Cross Cup. It was fun to see some activity in town. Here is some of my video of Cat 3 and Juniors
Why was Nick from Enzos rocking an ABD vest 2:41 in? Watch out for those USAC trolls, there is a rule against that 😀
I have now done two cross races in Illinois, and two in Wisconsin (I live in Lake Geneva.) Hands down the fans lining the course in the 4-B race makes the Chicago Cup Series my favorite! While it is a bigger fleld in this series, it’s the crowd support that really makes the difference. I’ll be back for a lot more of these next year.
In case anyone is interested…I heard at the race that there was a video preview of the Nationals Course up in Madison on YouTube… here is the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDK5hXeeIo0
Thank you to everyone! I had a blast!
no sir….Thank You…Good Times !!!!!
Great race, well worth the drive.
Did anyone happen to find a white Giro Prolight helmet lying around?
4As – Going forward than backwards 🙂
HA, 9:43 if you want to see what happens when the course tape gets caught under you’re bars and if you’re wondering, yes that is me slamming into the ground.
And that is me getting hit. lol
Great move staying upright and plowing through the tape! I was wondering how you rode away after I hit you so hard.
Race report and a pic of my leg covered in dirt rash on 2bici’s Facebook.
Rob is the man. Great course.
Here are my photos from women’s 1/2/3+:
Pictures from throughout the day.
You made a really good pic of my in the race (I’m the Mox girl on the IF). May I have your permission to post it on Facebook? Or email it to my mom?
Here are some photos I shot during the first two laps of the 4A race. I toned them to reflect the suffering on that hill:
how does one order prints?
You can email me through the “Photographer” link on the top right of the gallery. Thanks.
Me too. How do I purchase an image?
Rob Curtis, I will take you up on that offer to steamroll the course the day before. My back is still aching!!!
Video of the Ladies Cat 1,2,3 and Masters 50+.
Another great race today.
Another fun race today. Some fast corners with off camber made it a bit tricky to keep the wheels planted. Thanks go out to the Psimet team for putting on another successful event.
Great race- wind & clouds & all. The folks on Heckle Hill made each trip up, almost fun… managable…. tolerable… oh, well, it was a blast!!!! Thanks for all the hard behind the scenes work that makes these races happen!
Great course today. Nice job by Psimet with traffic and caution tape control!
Great Video of the start of the Woodstock 4b race as a races tries to change the lap counter as he passes by. http://www.facebook.com/imonpoint.org
He accidently ran into it, or he actually thought it would be funny to try to change it?
For you non-facebook people here it is.
