Did anyone find a grocery bag of dirty Half Acre Kit (ss jersey, bibs, knee warmers, socks and base layer)? I think I left it by the Johnny Sprockets tent and forgot to take it home with me. If you found it, please drop it by the lost & found in the registration room.
Best Chicago course hands down. Finally a design awash with flow and rhythm and devoid of hairpin turns. Truly worthy of the UCI moniker. If the CCC can evolve its other courses in the same manner then we are in for a great 2012-2013 season.
Agree with the above comment about the course. Good work on the course. Less hairpins + More flowing = Better course… Congrats to all involved with the promotion and volunteering.
Thanks to everybody for putting on these races. It’s so much fun and I’m very grateful for all the work you all do. And I hope the New Year’s Resolution becomes an annual tradition. The whole weekend was a blast and it was a great finish to a wonderful season.
Great course, and wonderful event as always. Yeah, the design was excellent and worked even as the surface turned into an absolutely mudtacular slugfest. Hat’s off to CCC. Everyone from Michigan loved it. You really understand what’s important in putting on race – and what brings people back. Here’s a few photos and commentary on the Crazy Bastard Blog. http://crazybastardscross.blogspot.com/2012/01/january-cyclocross-racing-chicago-style.html
Just in … great bike cam video of the first lap of the 2/3 race. Sweet course, flying mud … yeah it looked tough. Video by Grand Rapids, MI, Bissell rider Adam McIntrye.
finally got my day one stuff edited down…
mostly men 2/3, pro women, and pro men. not a lot of time to shoot between course crossing shifts.
had a great time out there with everyone.
This is the best of it. I have some more coverage from the day that I’ll get posted to Flickr over the weekend. Will post a link here once available.
Also…
LOST: Ryders sunglasses with pink and white frames. Probably lost them somewhere on Sunday while trucking around the course chasing Trebon. If you’ve got them, e-mail me ASAP–I’m blind without them.
FOUND: A 8GB Compact Flash card in the pit sometime on Sunday. Yours? E-mail me and tell me the brand and color and I’ll get it back to you.

Happy New Year.
Loved the mud! Course was great. I think all the courses this year that I rode on were awesome! Thanks for a great season.

A big thank you to everyone for all the hard work that went into a great event.
Loved the course but also love the diversity of courses on the CCC circuit. Variety is what we need.

Loved the course layout. Please let’s have more like this in the future.
Here are my pics from Saturday, mostly UCI men. Quite a few of teammate David Lombardo.

Video from Saturday.
Simply Awesome…
Thanks for capturing such beautiful moving pictures of the day and for putting your equipment in mud’s way to do so.
For those who know bikes not cameras, the camera Kyle was using cost more that a front row of bikes in an elite race.

Did anyone happen to get a pic of the 40+ podium? Thanks for another great weekend of racing!
