Thanks to everyone who stopped by INTENT and Spidermonkey for our raffle and bake sale. We raised $260 which was split between West Town bikes and Blackstone Bicycle Works. Denise Karlin was the baker and my partner in this!
I really enjoyed the course Saturday. As one friend said Sunday was like racing on Black Ice.
I’ve never done Pheasant Run before, are both days always the exact same course? At least Woodstock reversed the course with some tweaks. I admit Sunday’s course raced completely different but I was hoping for more like an Indian Lakes change up.
Thanks to the South Chicago Wheelmen we were able to enjoy 2 days of action packed cyclocross racing over the pre-Thanksgiving weekend at Pheasant Run Resort.
Thanks to everyone in the ChiCross community for a great weekend and making us feel welcome. It was a an awesome event and we had a blast!
Special thanks to announcer Kenny Labbe whose expertise and excitement really made it memorable for our young racer and all of our local family who came out to watch their first CX race.
You’ve got a great thing going here, and we are looking forward to seeing you all next year.
All the best,

Thank you to everyone who organized this event. As a first timer I didn’t know what to expect, but it was a great atmosphere and I had a great time. Maybe next time I won’t have to do the race with only one gear! Also, sorry if i offended anyone by NOT drinking the entire beer that was given to me or NOT eating the entire apple pie that was given to me. They were both delicious. I went back for the beer after the race, but it was gone. 🙁
Hey little dog by the mud pit, if you’re gonna bite me during my race, at least buy me dinner first.

Brian, that was not a dog, it was Omar. He’s bitten you every race this year.
Unfortunate start to the 45+ race.

I broke one the pawls in my Sram shifter on Saturday.
Any recommendation for a shop that could fix it by this weekend for Region Riot Cross?
I’m near the southwest suburbs.
Chris, would be happy to help, but we’re in
Evanston. What shifter?
LK, its a Sram Force CX1
Chris you can try the Bike Hub in Glen Ellyn, just call and see if they have it in. Tell Mark that Paige and Stephen recommended them.

Anyone find a black & white Giro helmet with light blue gloves?
Pretty sure I left them by the Bonkers/Comrade/BFF/Half Acre super tent
